1. Enter your Start and End for each day.
2. Set Round input to your interval (e.g. 15 Min (7 min rule)).
3. Add a Break and turn on Deduct breaks for unpaid time.
4. (Optional) Add your rate under Include Payment Information.
5. Read your Total Time and Gross Pay.

Rounding options

The calculator can round to 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes — or not at all. The 15-minute option uses the 7-minute rule: minutes 1–7 round down, 8–14 round up. See the full explanation in the 7-minute rounding rule guide.

Example

Clock in 9:06, clock out 5:09, with 15-minute rounding and a 30-minute lunch.

• Rounded: 9:00 to 5:15 = 8 hours 15 minutes.
• Minus 30 minutes = 7 hours 45 minutes (7.75).
