This Privacy Policy explains how PayForSay s. r. o. (“PayForSay”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you use the Product, contact us, purchase Pro access, or restore a purchase.
1. Local-first privacy summary
Time Card Calculator is designed as a local-first utility. In normal use, the hours, breaks, pay rates, currencies, country selections, overtime settings, report details, notes, saved timesheets, uploaded logo and backup files you enter into the App are stored locally on your device or in your browser storage. We do not need these entries to operate the calculator and we do not intentionally upload them to our servers.
We may process limited personal data for Pro purchase, purchase restoration, security, analytics, regional availability, support, website measurement, advertising measurement and legal compliance. We do not sell personal data for money. We do not use the contents of your calculation data for advertising. The App does not require a user account or password. Where we use analytics or advertising measurement, we try to minimize event data and avoid collecting the contents of user-entered timesheets, reports, wage rates, notes, logos or backup files.
2. Data stored locally on your device
The Product may store the following data locally in browser storage, mobile app storage, or Chrome extension storage:
time entries, start/end times, breaks and total hours;
hourly rates, currencies, countries and overtime settings;
report details such as name, dates, report header and notes;
saved timesheets, templates and settings;
company logo uploaded for branded PDF reports;
files you create or import, including PDF, Excel, CSV and JSON backup/restore files;
local preferences such as language, time format, rounding, week start day and whether breaks are deducted.
This local data stays under your control. It may be deleted if you clear browser storage, uninstall the App, reset your device, delete the extension, or restore from a backup. You are responsible for making and protecting backups. Backup files may contain sensitive work and wage information; keep them private.
3. Personal data we may collect
We may collect or receive the following categories of data, depending on how you use the Product:
3.1 Purchase and Pro access data
When you buy Pro or restore Pro access, we may receive and store limited entitlement information, such as:
email address used for purchase restoration;
Pro status and entitlement status;
purchase ID, order ID, transaction ID, receipt ID, product ID, platform and purchase date;
basic country or region information needed for pricing, taxes, fraud prevention or regional Pro availability;
payment status, refund status, chargeback status and related metadata.
We do not store full payment card numbers, card security codes, Apple ID passwords, Google passwords or full app store payment credentials.
3.2 Restore-by-email data
If you use “Already purchased? Restore by email”, we process your email address, one-time verification code metadata, request timestamps and technical information needed to send and verify the code. Codes are intended for short-term use and should not be shared.
3.3 Technical and security data
When you access the website, online app, backend, extension or mobile app, we and our service providers may process technical data such as IP address, approximate region or country, device type, operating system, browser or app version, language, error logs, request timestamps and security logs. This is used to deliver the Product, detect abuse, prevent fraud, apply regional pricing or Pro availability, and maintain security.
3.4 Analytics data
We may use product analytics and website analytics, including Google Analytics and similar tools, to understand how the Product is used and to improve conversion, reliability and usability. Analytics events may include events such as app opened, page viewed, calculation completed, paywall shown, purchase started, purchase completed, PDF exported, Excel exported, backup created, restore code requested, language changed and similar product events.
We do not intentionally collect the contents of your timesheets, wage rates, names, notes, report text, logos, restore codes or backup files through analytics. Analytics is not intended to determine legal rights, employment status, payroll outcomes or creditworthiness. If session replay or autocapture is enabled, we will configure it to mask text inputs and other sensitive areas, and we will use consent where required by law.
Analytics and advertising-measurement configuration may differ by platform. The web version may use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar measurement technologies, subject to consent where required. We aim to keep timesheet contents, wage rates, names, notes, logos, backup files and restore codes out of analytics and advertising-measurement collection. You should not include sensitive data in optional feedback or support fields unless necessary.
3.5 Support, feedback and contact data
If you contact us, submit a bug report, request a feature, use a contact form, or communicate with us by email or third-party feedback tools, we may process your name, email address, phone or messaging handle if provided, message content, attachments, screenshots and related metadata. Do not send sensitive data unless necessary.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
Contract necessity: to provide the Product, unlock Pro, restore purchases, process support requests related to your purchase, and deliver digital content or digital services you request.
Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, debug the Product, understand aggregated product usage, enforce our terms, protect legal rights and improve the Product. We balance these interests against your privacy rights.
Consent: for non-essential analytics, session replay, marketing communications or cookies where consent is required by law. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligation: to comply with accounting, tax, consumer protection, legal requests, recordkeeping and regulatory obligations.
5. Payments and payment providers
Purchases may be processed by Apple, Google, Lemon Squeezy, RevenueCat or other payment and entitlement providers.
iOS purchases: processed through Apple App Store / StoreKit. Apple controls payment processing and may provide us with limited transaction and entitlement information.
Android purchases: processed through Google Play Billing. Google controls payment processing and may provide us with limited transaction and entitlement information.
Web and Chrome purchases: processed through Lemon Squeezy, which may act as merchant of record for the transaction. Lemon Squeezy may process billing details, taxes, invoices, refunds and chargebacks.
Entitlement management: RevenueCat may be used to validate and synchronize mobile purchase entitlements.
Payment providers process personal data under their own privacy policies and terms. We receive only the data needed to confirm payment, unlock Pro, restore entitlements, handle support and comply with legal obligations.
6. Service providers and recipients
We may share limited personal data with service providers that help us operate the Product. These may include:
hosting, CDN, backend and regional detection providers such as Cloudflare;
database/storage providers such as Cloudflare D1;
payment and entitlement providers such as Apple, Google, Lemon Squeezy and RevenueCat;
analytics and measurement providers such as Google Analytics and PostHog;
advertising-measurement providers such as Meta Pixel / Meta business tools, where enabled and subject to consent or opt-out where required;
email delivery providers such as Gmail SMTP, Resend or Postmark;
feedback or support tools such as Canny or similar services;
professional advisers, accountants, auditors, legal counsel and public authorities where required.
We require service providers to process personal data only for appropriate purposes and subject to suitable confidentiality and security obligations.
7. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies
The Product uses local storage and similar technologies to provide essential functionality, save local settings, preserve timesheets and remember preferences. This is necessary for the Product to work.
The website and online app may also use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags and similar technologies for analytics, security, checkout, payment functionality, advertising measurement and Meta Pixel. Where required, non-essential analytics cookies, marketing cookies, advertising pixels or session recording will be used only after you give the relevant consent. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where provided, our cookie banner or preference center.
For more detail about website cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and calculator browser storage, see our Cookie Policy.
8. International transfers
We are established in the Slovak Republic. Some service providers may process data in other countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements and security measures.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. These may include limited backend storage, access controls, HTTPS, rate limiting, verification codes, provider security controls and minimizing the data we collect. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or allowed by law.
Local App data remains on your device until you delete it, clear storage, uninstall the App, overwrite it through restore, or delete the relevant files.
Purchase and entitlement records may be kept for as long as needed to provide Pro access, restore purchases, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and comply with tax/accounting obligations.
Restore codes are intended to be short-lived; related logs may be kept for security and abuse prevention for a limited period.
Support communications may be kept while your request is active and for a reasonable period afterward for quality, recordkeeping and legal protection.
Analytics data is kept for a limited period configured in the analytics provider and may be aggregated or anonymized.
If you ask us to delete your purchase restoration email or entitlement record, we will delete or anonymize it where legally possible. Deletion may make it impossible to restore Pro access by email.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
access personal data we hold about you;
correct inaccurate data;
delete personal data;
restrict or object to processing;
receive a portable copy of data you provided;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
object to direct marketing;
lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, contact us at info@timecardcalculator.app. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity, especially for purchase restoration or deletion requests.
If you are in the EEA, you may contact your local data protection authority. Our lead authority is expected to be the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), subject to applicable law.
We have not appointed a data protection officer unless we later state otherwise, because we do not believe one is mandatory for the current Product design. If our processing changes, we will reassess this.
12. California and other US state privacy notices
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Where we use advertising cookies, Meta Pixel or similar advertising-measurement technologies, some US state privacy laws may treat related disclosure of online identifiers, page views or conversion events to advertising partners as a “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising. You can opt out by rejecting marketing cookies through our cookie banner or preference center, using a “Do Not Sell or Share” link if provided, enabling recognized browser privacy signals where legally required, or contacting us at info@timecardcalculator.app.
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, port or opt out of certain processing. Submit requests at info@timecardcalculator.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
13. Children
The Product is not intended for children. You must be old enough to use the Product under the laws of your country and the rules of the platform from which you obtained the Product. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 in the EEA/UK or under 13 in the United States. If you believe a child provided personal data to us, contact us.
14. Automated decision-making
We do not use personal data for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects by solely automated means. We may use automated checks for security, fraud prevention, rate limiting, regional pricing or regional Pro availability.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the Product or on our website with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required.
