1. Enter your clock-in time under Start and clock-out under End, for each day.
2. Add a Break and turn on Deduct breaks for unpaid time.
3. (Optional) Turn on rounding (e.g. the 7-minute rule) if your workplace rounds punches.
4. (Optional) Add your rate under Include Payment Information.
5. Read your Total Time and Gross Pay.

What does clock in and clock out mean?

Clock in is when your shift starts; clock out is when it ends. A punch clock records those times so total hours can be calculated. This tool does the same digitally — enter the punches and read your total.

Example

Clock in 8:02, clock out 4:28, 30-minute lunch, with 15-minute rounding.

• Rounded: 8:00 to 4:30 = 8 hours 30 minutes.
• Minus 30 minutes = 8 hours 0 minutes (8.00).
