How to convert minutes to decimal hours

To convert minutes to decimal hours, divide the minutes by 60. For example, 15 minutes ÷ 60 = 0.25, so 8:15 is 8.25 hours. Payroll uses decimal hours because pay is your rate multiplied by hours.
