Double time is pay at 2× the regular rate, used in some states for long shifts.
In California, hours over 12 in a day are double-time. The calculator handles double-time through the built-in California option; standard overtime is 1.5× only.
Example: a $20/hour rate becomes $40/hour for double-time hours.
