## How to calculate payroll hours and pay
  1. Enter your Start, End and Break for each day.
  2. Turn on Include Payment Information and set your Regular payment rate.
  3. Choose your overtime: Standard thresholds or California rules (1.5×).
  4. Read the summary: Total Time, To Pay for Regular Time, To Pay for Overtime x1.5, and Gross Pay.

What is gross pay?

Gross pay is your total earnings before taxes and deductions — your rate times hours, plus overtime. This calculator shows gross pay; it doesn’t estimate taxes or net pay.
