1. Enter your Start and End time for each day.
2. Add a Break and turn on Deduct breaks for unpaid time.
3. (Optional) Turn on Include Payment Information and set your rate.
4. Read your Total Time (decimal and HH:MM) and Gross Pay.

What counts as hours worked?

Hours worked is the time between your start and end, minus any unpaid break. Paid breaks usually stay in your total, so only put unpaid time in the Break field.

Example

7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

• 7:30 to 4:00 = 8 hours 30 minutes.
• Minus 30 minutes = 8 hours 0 minutes (8.00).

How do I calculate hours worked? Enter Start and End for each day; the calculator subtracts the times and adds your daily totals into a weekly total.

Does it subtract breaks? Yes — enter the break and turn on Deduct breaks to remove unpaid time.

Can I see hours in decimal? Yes — the summary shows your total in both decimal and HH:MM.

How do I total hours between two times? Enter the earlier time as Start and the later as End; the calculator returns the duration.
